A Filipino Bakery Story That Began in Bacoor

The history of Valerio’s Bakeshop began with hard work, family, and a deep love for baking.

Long before Valerio’s became known as one of the most trusted Filipino bakeries in America, its story started in the Philippines with Victor Valerio and his wife, Milagros Valerio. After leaving his old job, Victor brought his passion and skill for baking back to Cavite, where he and Milagros opened the very first Valerio’s bakery in Bacoor.

What began as a small family bakery would eventually grow into a beloved name rooted in Filipino tradition, fresh-baked bread, and community.

Valerio’s Bakeshop history is not only the story of a business. It is the story of a family’s dedication, sacrifice, and love for sharing Filipino baked goods with others.

Victor and Milagros Valerio: The Founders

Valerio’s Bakeshop was started by Victor “Tatay” Valerio and Milagros “Nanay” Valerio.

Together, they created more than a bakery. They created a place where Filipino families could enjoy fresh bread, sweet treats, and comforting flavors that felt like home.

Victor brought his baking experience and craftsmanship, while Milagros helped build the family business with dedication, resilience, and care.

Their partnership became the foundation of Valerio’s Bakeshop history.

Every loaf, pastry, and Filipino baked good carried their commitment to freshness, quality, and tradition.

The Beginning of Valerio’s Bakeshop

Valerio’s Bakeshop was founded in the 1950s in Bacoor, Cavite.

Victor, lovingly known as Tatay, and Milagros, lovingly known as Nanay, worked together to build the foundation of the bakery. While Victor was still working at another bakery, he and Milagros saved money with the dream of opening their own.

That dream became reality when they opened their first Valerio’s bakery in Bacoor.

Years later, the family continued to grow the business and eventually opened a second location in Cavite City in 1965.

From the very beginning, the bakery was built on simple but powerful values:

Freshly baked products

Traditional Filipino recipes

Hard work and discipline

Family-centered service

A commitment to quality

These values became the heart of Valerio’s Bakeshop and continue to shape the brand today.
